Sheriff Ryan Arbon joins the PoliticIt Podcast to share his remarkable journey—from growing up in Pleasant View, Utah, to leading one of the state’s most dynamic counties as Weber County Sheriff.

Born and raised in Pleasant View, Sheriff Arbon graduated from Weber High School before serving a two-year LDS mission in San Diego. In 1997, he entered the Utah Police Academy, beginning a law-enforcement career that has spanned decades, states, and multiple leadership roles.

After time working as a Bailiff with the Weber County Sheriff’s Office, Arbon moved to Missouri where he served as a State Marshal and earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. Returning to Utah, he spent 14 years with the Clearfield City Police Department, taking on several supervisory roles while also managing successful businesses in property development, management, and construction.

In 2016, he became Chief of Police in Perry City.
In 2018, he was elected Sheriff of Weber County — a position he continues to serve with passion, integrity, and community focus.
