I am Ignacio Valdez, hailing from Ogden, Utah. You might wonder about the nickname “Nacho,” which is just as common for Ignacio as “Bob” is for “Robert.” Originally from Monterrey, Mexico, I embarked on my journey to the United States in 2003 with a deep-seated desire to assimilate into American society. Even during my formative years, I was fervently dedicated to mastering the English language, as it felt like an integral part of my identity.
My first encounter with the United States left me awe-inspired, recognizing the abundant freedoms and opportunities available to its citizens. On November 4th, I celebrated a momentous milestone as I officially became a United States Citizen. This significant occasion marked the commencement of my engagement with the political sphere, where I registered as a Republican and began an earnest exploration of the various facets of the electoral process. I have solemnly sworn to be an instrument in the hands of God, committed to protecting the Constitution against all who seek to undermine it, whether foreign or domestic.
